As a Payroll Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for our employees. You will work closely with our Payroll Team to handle a variety of administrative tasks, provide excellent customer service, and maintain compliance with all relevant regulations.

Please note this role is a fixed term contract.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Payroll Processing: Process smaller UK payrolls, including starters, leavers, and regular payroll runs.
  • Administrative Support: Handle various administrative tasks, such as monitoring HR inboxes, processing overtime and expenses, and maintaining accurate payroll records.
  • Data Integrity: Conduct regular audits of our HR system to ensure data accuracy and up-to-date information.
  • Customer Service: Provide first-line support to employees, managers, and senior leaders via phone and email.
  • Compliance: Adhere to GDPR regulations and stay up-to-date with statutory and legislative changes.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, such as Accounts and Finance, to ensure seamless operations.

  • Strong understanding of UK payroll legislation and regulations.
  • Experience with payroll software and systems.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work 1 independently and as part of a team.
