Job Description: Civil Quantity Surveyor
Location: Essex
Salary Range: 50,000 - 70,000 per annum (dependent on experience and qualifications)

We are seeking dynamic and detail-oriented Civils Quantity Surveyorof all levels (Junior, Intermediate, and Senior) to join our growing team based in Upminster. Key Responsibilities
- Cost Estimation and Budgeting:
- Prepare accurate cost estimates, budgets, and feasibility studies for civil engineering projects.
- Provide cost analysis and financial advice to project stakeholders.
- Contract Administration:
- Manage contracts from inception to completion, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
- Negotiate with contractors, suppliers, and clients to achieve optimal outcomes.
- Measurement and Valuation:
- Perform detailed measurement and valuation of work completed on-site, ensuring accurate documentation.
- Prepare interim and final payment applications.
- Risk Management:
- Identify potential risks in cost and delivery, implementing mitigation strategies where required.
- Monitor project costs against budgets and address any deviations.
- Stakeholder Communication:
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment on project goals.
- Provide regular financial reports and updates to senior management.
Requirements
Junior Quantity Surveyor:
- Preferable degree (e.g., Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or Construction Management).
- Minimum 1 year experience in similar role and same sector.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
Intermediate Quantity Surveyor:
- 3-5 years of experience in quantity surveying within the civil engineering sector.
- Proficiency in contract management software and tools (e.g., NEC, JCT).
- Solid understanding of construction methods and materials.
Senior Quantity Surveyor:
- 5+ years of experience with proven expertise in managing complex projects.
- Chartered status or working towards RICS or CIOB accreditation.
- Exceptional negotiation and leadership skills.
