Are you an experienced professional in passive fire protection with excellent technical knowledge? Are you seeking a role where you can contribute your expertise to our team and client-facing projects? Join us as a Fire Stopping Compliance Manager and play a crucial part in ensuring the safety and compliance of construction projects.

Role Overview: As a Fire Stopping Compliance Manager, your primary focus will be on providing robust technical knowledge to our team and contractors, while also engaging with clients. This is not a contract management role but a pivotal position where your expertise in fire stopping will be utilized to ensure all passive fire protection measures meet regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Offer technical guidance to our team, contractors, and clients.
  • Provide technical literature and fire test/assessment data to Passive Fire Protectors.
  • Conduct technical Toolbox talks and maintain records of attendees.
  • Verify training certification and medical declarations before work commencement.
  • Ensure HR compliance with site personnel.
  • Manage the quality and compliance of installations.
  • Record completed work in requested formats, such as PFP Software.
  • Adhere to on-site emergency procedures and represent at site meetings.
  • Enforce high levels of health and safety on-site.
  • Coordinate and liaise with the workforce to ensure compliance with RAMS.

Qualifications:

Minimum NVQ Level 3 Award in Passive Fire Protection.

Proven experience (minimum 5 years) in fire safety management and fire stopping systems within the UK construction industry.

In-depth knowledge of UK building regulations, fire safety codes, and standards.

Familiarity with fire stopping materials, products, and installation techniques.

Strong analytical skills for assessing complex fire safety risks.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.

Desirable certifications: CFSP, FDIS, BM Trada, FIRAS, or equivalent.

Proficiency in using computer-aided design (CAD) software.

Requisite Skills:

  • Level 3 - Foundation Course in Passive Fire Protection.
  • Experience with Bolster software.
  • Quality-oriented with client-facing experience.
  • Health and safety knowledge.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
  • Problem-solving capability.
  • In-depth knowledge of fire protection standards.
  • Understanding of service delivery capability.

Additional Requirements:

  • Good technical knowledge in Fire Stopping.
  • Relevant qualifications at a minimum Level 3.
  • Experience in NHS, social housing, and education (desirable).
