An exciting opportunity has arisen for an HGV Technician with NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Goods Vehicle maintenance or equivalent to join a well-established vehicle repair workshop. This role offers excellent benefits and a salary range of £18 - £20 per hour.

As an HGV Technician, you will play a pivotal role in conducting servicing, as well as on-site and off-site repairs on customer vehicles and equipment.

You will be responsible for:

  • Respond to breakdowns as part of the callout rota system.
  • Diagnose and repair vehicles with a "right first time" approach, providing customers with clear explanations of faults and estimated repair timescales.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on all makes of commercial HGV vehicles, trailers, and plant equipment to VOSA standards.
  • Utilise diagnostic equipment effectively.
  • Complete job cards and timesheets daily, ensuring accurate recording of all parts used.
  • Handle all vehicles carefully, taking necessary precautions while working on customer premises, and ensure adherence to Health & Safety regulations and safe working practices.

What we are looking for:

  • Previously worked as an HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic, Trailer Technician, Trailer Mechanic, HGV Fitter, Truck Technician, Truck Mechanic or in a similar role.
  • NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Goods Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent.
  • Industry-recognised qualifications and apprenticeship completion.
  • Background in repairing and maintaining heavy goods vehicles.
  • Skilled in computer operations, including software, operating systems, and iPad usage.
  • LGV / HGV Licence Class 1 & 2.
  • Valid driving licence.

Shifts:

  • Monday - Friday: 07:00 - 16:00
  • Saturday: 07:00 - 12:00
