Randstad Education is seeking for an enthusiastic and skilled Drama Teacher to join our team in the Upminster area who inspire KS3 and KS4 students to explore and enhance their dramatic abilities. The salary is competitive and will be based on your experience and qualifications.

Responsibilities
  • Contribute to subject development by producing, reviewing and updating curriculum plans and schemes of work
  • Teach classes allocated and provide a well planned challenging, purposeful learning environment
  • Develop approach to self - directed learning, use technology to support learning
  • Use assessment data to inform lesson planning
  • Set homework and mark promptly
  • Ensure a high quality of teaching and learning takes place
  • Deal with immediate problems/emergencies according to school policy and procedures
  • Respond to questioning

Requirements

  • Proven experience teaching Drama at KS3.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
  • A PGCE with QTS is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of the curriculum
  • Previous experience teaching drama to students in a school or educational setting is preferred.
  • A genuine passion for Drama and the ability to inspire creativity in students.
  • Strong theatrical skills and knowledge of drama techniques, stagecraft, and production processes.
  • Strong classroom management
  • Motivated and enthusiastic demeanour
  • Be an inspiring and engaging communicator
