Tradewind Recruitment are delighted to be recruiting a Long-Term Cover Supervisor for a successful and vibrant 11-18 academy in Brentwood.

This standalone academy have an excellent reputation in the county for delivering exceptional results at GCSE, with students remaining happy at the school and motivated to learn. Over recent years, the school has received funding to improve learning facilities that have had a proven impact on increasing motivation to learn. As a Cover Supervisor, you will be a vital part of this school community - with your responsibilities to cover learning across the curriculum and age groups. In turn, this will mean you have the opportunity to create meaningful working rapports with the whole school community, and the school are looking for a proactive staff member to relish this opportunity.

The role:

  • As Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of lessons in teacher's absence, ensuring that students remain on task and extra support is given to do this when needed.
  • In addition, you will promote a positive learning environment through utilising a range of teaching strategies and behaviour management techniques.
  • Working as part of a team to ensure that students needs are met at all times.
  • This role is ideal for any aspiring teachers, with Cover Supervisors provided with the opportunities to lead classes and make a good contribution to students learning.
  • 25 hours per week, term time only. Scale Point 6.13 - 17 - pro rata'd
  • Work schedule to be confirmed

Requirements:

  • Appropriate Literacy and Numeracy skills, ideally to NVQ Level 2.
  • Experience working in a school environment - ideally secondary school
  • Enhanced DBS
  • Right to work in the UK
  • A CV with full employment History
