Recruiting for a Midday Support Assistant to join the team in an Upminster school to provide a safe and happy lunchtime for children with Learning Difficulties and Complex Needs.

Do you have a passion to work with SEN children and looking for a fulfilling opportunity to gain experience in a school setting?

As soon as possible - Monday to Friday 2hrs a day (Term time only)

Midday Assistant Role

  • Assist the children in the play areas to ensure a safe and happy play in groups and 1-1
  • Supervising the children whilst eating at meal times.
  • Being mindful of the child’s dietary requirements and ensure they are adhered to accordingly.
  • Monitor the behaviour of children, discouraging any negative behaviour in a positive way and ensuring any incidents are reported as appropriate.
  • Happy to assist with personal care as and when needed.
  • Good communication skills and able to work as part of a team.
