Technical Sales Engineer / Estimator
Location: West Horndon, CM13 3XL, Essex.
Salary: 40-50K + potential 5K performance related bonus.
Contract: Full time, permanent.

Technical Sales Engineer / Estimator – About the role:
We are looking for a qualified and experienced Technical Sales Engineer/Estimator to join our team. This role involves selling our company's M&E services and requires a strong background in estimating, as well as procuring new business opportunities in both the manufacturing and fabricating workshop, and field service activities.
Responsibilities:
• Attend customer sites to scope, measure, and qualify materials from engineering drawings/specifications
• Produce quotations, pricing, and tender bids
• Maintain communication with clients throughout the process
• Achieve monthly sales targets
• Follow sales action plans and strategies
• Resolve customer complaints effectively
• Conduct proactive sales calls to generate more sales
• Attend weekly sales meetings
• Manage client relationships end-to-end for an excellent customer experience
• Promote the business brand consistently
• Ensure timely delivery of information
What we need from you:
• Experience in sales/estimation within a similar engineering or manufacturing environment
• Ability to produce quotations and conceptual designs/sketches
• Highly literate and numerate, with commercial acumen
• Confidence in dealing directly with decision makers and customers
• Proficiency in CRM, CAD software, and other sales tools
• Flexible and adaptive to changing requirements
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
• Focus on quality and the ability to emphasize its importance
• Strong problem-solving skills and innovative thinking
Desirable and Technical Skills
• Experience in an estimating role
• Understanding of technical drawings, manufacturing methods, and engineering principles
• Industry experience in machining and fabrication services
• Good market knowledge
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Ability to strengthen customer relationships and develop new business opportunities
• Skill in making presentations to promote new products and services
• Competence in compiling quotations and sales specifications
