Copello require multiple Aircraft Fitters (Electrical) for a large defence organisation in the Cheshire area to join them on an initial contract basis for 12 months.
As the Aircraft Fitter you will be working required to support on the manufacturing, maintenance , installation and test of aircraft, adhering to maintenance manuals and technical drawings. You will be adhering to processes and procedures that meet industry regulatory standards while meeting all health and safety requirements.
Other duties of the role include:
Competence in the assembly of electrical and electronic parts, materials, hardware, use of calibrated tooling, wiring harnesses, components and sub-assemblies for the manufacture and modification of electrical, electronic, electro magnetic equipment, equipment rack, instrument consoles for integration into existing aircraft systems.
Aircraft maintenance, modification, system integration and test.
The ability to repair, adjust and maintain aircraft systems to ensure system reliability
The successful Aircraft Fitter will require the following experience
An understanding of maintenance manuals, IPCs, EMMs and wiring diagrams to implement inspections and maintenance processes to ensure the optimal performance and all associated systems and functions
Installation of prefabricated parts and assemblies to assist in the final installation of electrical and avionic modification components.
Ability to perform electrical/electro-mechanical system operational checks, trouble shoot and correct malfunctions.
Comfortable working from technical drawings, aircraft manufacturer’s manuals, Design Data, written or verbal instructions
Strong experience of Electrical Sub- Assemblies and the manufacturing of cable/harness assemblies
Laser printing , Soldering , Crimping ,Cable terminations , End make-offs, Bench test in accordance with Design Data and Working to Technical Process Specifications
From a qualification perspective the Aircraft Fitter will be ideally educated within either City Guilds Electrical Certificate/NVQ Level 3 or approved base training.
This position will require to ability to secure SC clearance (UK Eyes Only) as well as being able to work in shift patterns hours 06:00-14:00 and 14:00-22:00.
This role is paying £38 per hour (inside IR35)
