Sheet Metal Fabricator - Near Great Dunmow - 14-18ph (DOE) - Overtime paid at 1.33x

We're working with a well-established and very flexible precision engineering company near Great Dunmow that is looking to add a skilled Sheet Metal Fabricator to their growing team. If you've got experience working with a variety of fabrication machinery and enjoy working on high-quality, technical projects, this could be a great fit for you!

The company operates across a range of sectors including aerospace, medical and more, offering variety and interesting work. In return for your skills, they offer a competitive hourly rate and plenty of opportunities to grow. Fabrications range from straightforward to complex, containing numerous sub-components.

What's on offer:

  • Starting salary: 14-18 per hour (depending on experience)
    Working hours: Monday to Friday, 07:30-16:30
    Chance to work on exciting, precision-engineered projects

Day-to-day duties:

  • Operating brake presses, laser cutters, and other fabrication machinery
    Working with mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminium
    Reading and working from technical drawings
    Drilling, tapping, sawing, and general use of power tools

What we're looking for:

  • Experience in sheet metal fabrication
    Confidence working from engineering drawings
    Familiarity with various fabrication tools and machinery
    Willingness to learn. Training available for candidates with a good fabrication base

Due to the rural location of the company, having your own transport is essential.
