Job Title: Groundworker / Digger Driver
Location:Within 1.5 hours travel from Hertford, UK
Salary:170 per day
Contract Duration:6-12 months
Start Date:1st July
Working Hours:Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Digger Driver to join our team for a project duration of 6 to 12 months. The successful candidate will have experience in various types of groundworks including drainage, footings, concreting, roadways, and footpaths. The position offers competitive pay and the opportunity to work on a variety of projects within the Hertford area.
Responsibilities
- Operate diggers and other heavy machinery to perform excavation tasks.
- Execute drainage systems, including the installation and maintenance of pipes.
- Work on footings and foundations for buildings and other structures.
- Perform concreting tasks, ensuring proper mixing, pouring, and finishing.
- Construct and maintain roadways and footpaths.
- Carry out general groundworks as required by the project.
- Follow project plans and blueprints, adhering to safety regulations and quality standards.
Requirements
- Valid and up-to-date CPCS or NPORS tickets for digger operation.
- Proven experience in drainage, footings, concreting, roadways, footpaths, and general groundworks.
- Strong knowledge of safety protocols and procedures.
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel within a 1.5-hour radius from Hertford.
- Physical fitness and the ability to work in various weather conditions.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
