Manufacturing Process Engineer

Role Purpose

The Manufacturing Process Engineer will be responsible for the maintaining, developing, and optimising both new and existing processes within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Being process driven and continuous improvement focused will be essential. This position will work within the Manufacturing Excellence Team but will have key relationships with Production, Technical, Engineering and Quality Control.

Key Accountabilities

· Analyse process and product performance through engineering studies and statistics

· Ensure the optimisation and stability of current processes and products

· Carry out Root Cause Analysis activities when problems occur on the production line

· Identify and solve potential problems which could lead to product or equipment failures

· Identify and lead continuous improvement projects and initiatives

· Support the design of new processes and systems for both new and existing products

· Support the instillation and commissioning of new equipment and processes

· Lead, support and develop the production support team

Key Competencies Required

· Qualified to degree or HND level in a science or engineering discipline

· Practitioner of lean manufacturing tools and principles

· Proficient in Microsoft Office and Minitab

· Excellent leadership and communication skills

· Ability to project manage under tight time scales

· Highly driven individual with a can-do attitude

· Excellent manufacturing engineering skills and experience within high volume manufacturing

· Minimum 5 years' experience working in similar role
