JOB – Automation & Controls Engineer LOCATION – South Wales TERM - Permanent SALARY - £40,000 - £50,000 per annum  depending on experience A South Wales based engineering company are looking for an Automation Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis.  The Automation Engineer will ideally have the following attributes: 
  • HND of equivalent electrical engineering qualification or relevant discipline.
  • At least 3 years’ automation experience.
  • Good understanding of PLC software understanding & programming languages.
  • Good understanding of AC/DC drive systems, servo drives & sensors.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Full UK driving license.
The Automation Engineer Engineer’s duties will involve:
  • Creating & developing software specifications.
  • PLC programming & writing code from scratch.
  • Ensuring health & safety regulations are met at all times.
  • Attending site visits when required.
  • Liaising with other departments to ensure requirements are met at all times.
