What you will be doing as the automation engineer
As an automation engineer, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining and improving the performance of automated systems across the site. Including: -
- Design and implement automation solutions: Improve production efficiency and reliability, satisfying you to see your ideas come to life and make a tangible difference.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues: Develop your problem-solving skills and gain a sense of accomplishment by resolving complex challenges.
- Lead automation projects: Take charge of projects from concept to commissioning, enhancing your leadership skills and career growth.
- Technical support and training: Share your expertise and help colleagues maximise the effectiveness of automation systems, contributing to a supportive and knowledgeable workplace.
What you will need to apply for the automation engineer position
- An HNC or above is required in a relevant engineering discipline, such as electrical engineering.
- Extensive experience with DCS systems and/or AC drives.
- Experience at engineer level within a manufacturing or DCS/drives servicing business.
What you will receive as the automation engineer
Salary between £45,000 - £53,000 depending on experience, a pension matched up to 6%, private medical, four times salary death in service cover and 25 days holiday plus the bank holidays.
The working hours
Monday to Thursday 8 am - 4 pm, Friday 8 am - 2 pm. There is a requirement for flexibility during shutdowns and to help with callouts on an informal basis.
