Citrus Recruit are excited to be working with a global enterprise to recruit for an Electrical Design Engineer. We are looking for someone who has just completed your apprenticeship or completed university with at least one placement or work experience year under your belt. The company are an innovative, forward-thinking business, who specialising in the design and manufacture of high-tech capital equipment for global markets. With a commitment to excellence and continuous improvement, they pride themselves on their dynamic team and collaborative environment. This is an exciting opportunity for an Electrical Design Engineer to work on cutting-edge electrical control systems for laser wire processing machines and other advanced technologies. You'll play a key role in shaping their products and will have the chance to develop your skills and grow your career further. Responsibilities & day to day duties As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for:
  • Write control specifications for new products and modifications to existing systems.
  • Design electrical circuits for laser wire processing machines using ePLAN or similar software.
  • Generate build documentation and parts lists to facilitate procurement and production processes.
  • Create commissioning procedures to ensure a smooth transition of products to production and service.
  • Liaise with end users, contractors, and subcontractors for effective design and installation.
  • Investigate system issues arising from testing and operational use, providing solutions as needed.
  • Collaborate with electrical suppliers to identify and implement cost-effective solutions.
Skills & experience required
  • Minimum HND in Electrical Engineering or a completed apprenticeship.
  • Proven background in electrical/controls/automation engineering, ideally with complex machinery or systems.
  • Familiarity with safety standards such as EN12100, EN60204, and ISO 13849.
