Fabricator

Vibe Recruit's client, based in Bridgend, is looking for a skilled fabricator to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have experience in fabricating mild steel components. This is a full time, permanent position.

Responsibilities:

• Operate welding equipment, as well as hand and power tools, as required.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings to carry out fabrication and welding within specified tolerances.
• Conduct quality checks to ensure high standards are maintained.
• Report any production-related issues to the department supervisor or manager.
• Adhere to company policies, procedures, and health and safety regulations at all times.
• Complete daily safety inspections on welding equipment and machinery.
• Carry out any additional tasks as assigned by the department supervisor or manager.

Qualifications:

• Must be skilled in freehand fabrication and using welding aids to produce components in line with engineering drawings.
• Demonstrated experience in hydraulic fitting is essential.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with proficiency in operating various hand and power tools.
• Basic mathematical skills are required for precise measurements and calculations.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and follow technical specifications accurately.
• Excellent attention to detail and a strong commitment to delivering high-quality work.
