Role Overview:The Finance Director will play a key leadership role in overseeing the financial operations of the company, driving financial strategy, and providing strategic insights to support decision-making and business growth. Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Leadership: Lead the financial strategy, planning, and execution across the organisation, aligning financial objectives with business goals.
  • Financial Reporting: Oversee the preparation of accurate financial statements, reports, and forecasts, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Manage the budgeting process, providing insights into financial performance, and recommending corrective actions where necessary.
  • Cost Management: Work closely with operations to optimise cost structures and drive efficiency across manufacturing processes.
  • Cash Flow Management: Ensure effective cash flow management and financing strategies to support ongoing operations and capital investments.
  • Strategic Decision Support: Provide financial analysis and support to senior management, facilitating data-driven decisions and business performance improvement.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and develop the finance team, ensuring that financial controls and processes are maintained across all areas of the business.
  • Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure all financial operations comply with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards. Identify and mitigate financial risks.
  • Investor Relations: Support senior leadership in managing relationships with investors, stakeholders, and financial institutions.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Education: Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field. MBA or professional certifications (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA) highly desirable.
  • Experience: A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in finance, with at least 5 years in a senior finance leadership role within a manufacturing or industrial sector.
  • Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of manufacturing operations, cost accounting, financial controls, and supply chain management.
  • Skills:
    • Strong strategic thinking and business acumen
    • Excellent financial modeling and analytical skills
    • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
    • Leadership and team management experience
    • Proficient in ERP systems and advanced Excel capabilities
