Freightserve recruitment are looking for a Freight Forwarding Operator for a excellent Freight Forwarder based in the Bridgend area. .
The Role:-
- We are looking for someone to join our Bridgend office in the role of Branch Operations Operator
- To collate all the necessary information to ensure all export/import shipments are accurately and correctly processed, profitably charged out and profit share completed.
- Control of jobs through effective liaison with overseas agents and customers, in order to collate and implement information to progress orders and provide accurate information about specific shipments.
- To offer a high standard of customer service to both internal and external customers, by demonstrating a professional, helpful and positive manner, taking responsibility to ensure that work passed onto others is of a high quality.
- To contribute to controlling costs and achieving branch/departmental revenue targets.
- To establish, develop and maintain effective working relationships with customers, provide them with appropriate accurate information and promote additional services to increase revenue.
- To provide accurate quotations required, maximising shipment profitability.
- To demonstrate an understanding of Customs requirements, Aviation Security and Dangerous Goods regulations, ensuring that all controls, formalities and procedures are implemented and to be capable of providing information and advice to customers when necessary.
You will build close working relationships with customers, overseas partners as well as internal teams so good communication skills are key in this role. Continuous support and training will be given as we aim to help you develop your skills and knowledge to allow you to grow your career.
Experience Required:-
For this Inbound Gateway opportunity, we are looking for someone with the following skills and experience:
- Previous experience in an airfreight environment
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to adapt and problem solve with an optimistic outlook
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong work ethic and desire to continually learn and improve
- Positive and helpful attitude
In addition, you’ll also need the right to work in the UK - we are not able to sponsor work permits.
