Reed Further Education are searching for a Lecturer in CAD and Design to join a college based in Pencoed. They are looking for a lecturer on a temporary ongoing basis. This role is perfect for someone passionate about design engineering, eager to inspire the next generation of engineers with up-to-date expertise in CAD software.

Job Title: CAD and Design Lecturer

Location: Pencoed, Bridgend

Salary: £28p/h - £35p/h including holiday pay

Hours: Full-time

Role Type: Temporary Ongoing

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Develop and deliver engaging curriculum content in CAD & Design, focusing on software like AutoCAD and Inventor.
  • Act as a course tutor, providing academic guidance and support to students.
  • Maintain administrative records, ensure quality control, and participate in the coordination of teaching, learning, and assessment activities.
  • Liaise with employers, agencies, and families as necessary to enhance educational partnerships.
  • Assist in the recruitment of students and participate in open days and promotional events.
  • Adapt teaching practices to accommodate students with additional needs, ensuring an inclusive learning environment.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Up-to-date knowledge of AutoCAD and Inventor software packages.
  • Proven experience in developing and organising work related learning materials.
  • Level 4 qualification in Engineering or Construction.
  • Experience teaching on level 3 to level 4 programmes.
  • PGCE/Cert Ed or other relevant teaching qualification
  • Registered with EWC (education workforce council)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage a diverse student population.
