Residential Care Worker - Children's Home

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Residential Care Worker to join our team in providing a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment for children in our residential care home. The ideal candidate will be passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of young people and will have a strong understanding of the challenges they may face.



Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day care and support to children in the residential home.
  • Implement care plans and contribute to the development of individual support strategies.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of the children at all times.
  • Build positive relationships with the children and act as a positive role model.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation.
  • Work collaboratively with other staff members and external agencies.
  • Participate in team meetings, training, and supervision.


Qualifications and Requirements

  • Must have a valid Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
  • Must be registered with Social Care Wales.
  • Proven experience working in a children's residential care setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Understanding of safeguarding policies and procedures.
  • Ability to manage challenging behaviour.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
