DT Teacher

This school are looking for a DT teacher to join their exciting department. The teacher will be teacher DT to year 7 and 9. Furthermore the successful candidate will then be able to teach Engineering and Practical workshop to years 10 and 11.

Essential qualities for this role of a Design and Technology Teacher include:
• DT Teacher with Secondary QTS.
• Be skilled in Graphics and Product Design and able to use Photoshop, Adobe, and Illustrator.
• Competent in operating workshop machinery, and able to safely supervise pupils working in the workshop.

You are likely to be someone who:
• Is excited to show your imagination and creativity in Design & Technology, which would inspire our students in their own creative skills and gain confidence in using  different materials to their best abilities.
• Can problem solve and ‘think on your feet’ to provide practical solutions.
• Is flexible, able to work under pressure, meet deadlines and prioritise workloads effectively as well as being a team player who communicates effectively.
• Is organised, efficient and confident in their work and abilities.
• Has a commitment to the aims and values of comprehensive education, the school’s vision and ethos.
