A world class chemical device supplier with a very lucrative product range are rapidly expanding the organisation and as a result of this they're looking for a Production Supervisor to manage the team. The company's have invested over 2million into the plant recently and the product range is extremely established with plans to branch out further in 2024, this makes it a perfect time to join this lucrative organisation with a great chance to run the Production department.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • To supervise the on-going activities of your production shift, including all aspects of production, health and safety, reporting and personnel.
  • Develop a culture that demands the highest levels of health and safety standards for both your own shift and any, and all, visitors to the plant whilst your shift is on duty.
  • Meet production targets set down by your manager and develop a work routine that achieves this in a safe and timely manner.
  • Maintain high standards of plant cleanliness and tidiness at all times.
  • Understand and upkeep computer transactions.
  • Fully liaise with other shifts and peer groups to keep communication lines open and working to a maximum.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

  • Must have worked as a Production Supervisor within a manufacturing environment, preferably in chemical or similar environment.
  • Must be able to demonstrate previous competence in running a production line or unit, with good problem-solving abilities and basic electro/mechanical knowledge for production equipment.
  • Previous experience working with pumps/valves/lines, and packing units would be desirable.
  • Strong supervisory skills are essential, including people management skills. Self-motivation is essential but must be able to demonstrate a team player role. Delegation of tasks and responsibility whilst ensuring proper training and competencies are in place to meet the demands placed upon staff.
  • Managing personnel resource to meet production demands whilst maintaining a strong safety culture is essential.
  • Help maintain the standards for ISO9001/14001/18001 by conforming to all regulations and procedural aspects required
