As an experienced Buyer you will be responsible for sourcing materials, negotiating contracts, and ensuring cost-effective procurement while maintaining high-quality standards. Salary - £30,000 per annum

Responsibilities:
- Source, purchase, and expedite mechanical, electrical, and steel components, equipment, consumables, and technical services.
- Place and follow up on purchase orders to ensure timely delivery aligned with production schedules.
- Manage consignment stock and coordinate the call-off of long lead-time components.
- Ensure the prompt procurement of all raw materials based on the Design-issued cutting list.
- Process orders for consumable items based on authorized requisitions.
- Provide Senior Management with regular reports on potential component shortages and delayed deliveries.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date pricing information in the Buying Lists.
- Collaborate with the Senior Buyer, engineering teams, and internal stakeholders to ensure components are purchased and expedited to meet production deadlines.
- Oversee the purchasing cycle to ensure orders are placed efficiently.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with departments such as Sales and Spares, Engineering, Production, and Accounts.
- Conduct supplier visits as needed.
- Deliver professional customer service at all times.
- Prepare and present sourcing summaries, vendor comparisons, cost-saving reports, and other procurement documentation to Senior Management.
