Responsibilities:

  • Source, purchase, and expedite mechanical, electrical, and steel components, equipment, consumables, and technical services.
  • Place and follow up on purchase orders to ensure timely delivery aligned with production schedules.
  • Manage consignment stock and coordinate the call-off of long lead-time components.
  • Ensure the prompt procurement of all raw materials based on the Design-issued cutting list.
  • Process orders for consumable items based on authorized requisitions.
  • Provide Senior Management with regular reports on potential component shortages and delayed deliveries.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date pricing information in the Buying Lists.
  • Collaborate with the Senior Buyer, engineering teams, and internal stakeholders to ensure components are purchased and expedited to meet production deadlines.
  • Oversee the purchasing cycle to ensure orders are placed efficiently.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with departments such as Sales and Spares, Engineering, Production, and Accounts.
  • Conduct supplier visits as needed.
  • Deliver professional customer service at all times.
  • Prepare and present sourcing summaries, vendor comparisons, cost-saving reports, and other procurement documentation to Senior Management.

  • Proven experience in supplier management.
