Bennett and Game are currently working with an established civil and structural engineering consultancy renowned for delivering complex and high-profile projects. As a part of their continued growth, they are looking for a Quantity Surveyor to support their cost consultancy work they are receiving from their clients at the moment.

As the Quantity Surveyor you will be responsible for managing the financial and contractual aspects of engineering projects to ensure they are completed within budget and meet financial targets. You will be meeting with clients, to ensure their expectations are being met and on time. Quantity Surveyor Job Overview

  • Cost Estimation & Budgeting: Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and bills of quantities.
  • Tendering & Procurement: Manage tenders, evaluate bids, and select contractors/suppliers.
  • Contract Management: Oversee contracts, ensure compliance, and resolve disputes.
  • Cost Control & Monitoring: Track costs, manage variations, and provide forecasts.
  • Valuations & Payments: Conduct valuations, approve payments, and ensure timely processing.
  • Risk Management: Identify financial risks and implement cost-effective solutions.
  • Reporting & Communication: Provide financial reports, highlighting performance and savings.


Quantity Surveyor Job Requirements

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management: Solid academic background in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
  • 3+ Years' Experience: Proven experience in a similar Quantity Surveying or commercial management role.
  • Familiar with NEC/JCT Contracts: Expertise in managing NEC or JCT contracts and ensuring compliance.
  • Strong Analytical & Detail-Oriented: Skilled in data analysis and precise cost estimation.
  • Excellent Communication & Negotiation: Effective communication and negotiation skills with clients and contractors.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong ability to resolve issues and manage financial challenges.


Quantity Surveyor Salary & Benefits

  • Salary: £35,000 - £40,000
