Your new company:

We are recruiting family support workers, to join a multidisciplinary team at a residential family centre in Bridgend. You will work to ensure the safeguarding of the children using the service and work alongside the family to ensure the children have the best chance of staying in the parents' care.

Your new role:

As a family support worker, you will work on a rota basis, which includes day shifts and wakeful nights. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support and monitor families, to improve parental knowledge and skills in-line with their child's needs. You will also provide support to families around parenting and ensure the wellbeing of the children. Finally, you will support families to access the community and the services they require.

What you will need to succeed:

To succeed as a family support worker, you will require experience in social care and/or experience working with children. You will also need a willingness to work flexibly, including weekends and bank holidays, a positive attitude and a commitment to quality care and a desire to learn and develop your skills. It is essential that you have a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and to following the policies and procedures of the organisation.
