This will be based primarily in a mainstream school, with occasional time spent in an alternative learning provision. Role Insight You'll be working with students who exhibit extremely challenging behaviour due to various factors such as:SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health)PTSD Undiagnosed SEN
For this position you will require experience working with additional learning needs in some capacity, there will however be more training provided in positive behaviour management where required.
Position OverviewDays & Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am - 3:30 pm Start Date: ASAP (Immediate trials available) Salary: GBP85-95 per day Contract: Temporary to Permanent options available Location: Bridgend Key Responsibilities: Academic Support: Help students engage with their learning. Emotional Support: Foster a safe, supportive environment for emotional well-being. Teamwork: Collaborate with teachers and support staff to deliver tailored learning experiences. Behaviour Management: Guide students in managing behaviour and achieving progress. What You'll Bring: Strong Behavioural Management: Calmly handle extreme behaviours. Compassion & Empathy: Understand the impact of SEMH, PTSD, and SEN. Positive Relationships: Build trust with students, supporting them academically and emotionally.
