University Access Officer

Join a dedicated education charity on a mission to support students from under-resourced backgrounds in accessing top universities. We are seeking a University Access Officer to work closely with students, helping them enrol in our programme and connecting them with volunteer tutors. This role is ideal for someone passionate about mentoring and education.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Work directly with students in schools, spending 4 days per week on-site (2 days in one school and 2 days in another).
  • Every Friday will be a work-from-home day, allowing for planning and coordination.
  • Assist students in enrolling onto the programme and match them with suitable volunteer tutors.
  • Monitor student attendance and engagement in the programme.
  • Provide ongoing support and guidance to students to enhance their university access opportunities.
  • Collaborate with school staff and other stakeholders to ensure the programme’s success.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Experience in an educational setting, preferably with direct student interaction.
  • Strong understanding of the higher education system in the UK.
  • Demonstrated passion for mentoring and helping students achieve their potential.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
