ABOUT THE CLIENT:Our client is a rapidly growing accountancy firm with offices across the UK. They provide tailored services for families and a range of business services across a number of clients. Their accountants specialise in a variety of sectors from Agricultural to Building and Construction, helping both small and international businesses. They are now looking for an Audits and Accounts Senior to join their Corporate team to deliver a high quality service and contribute to their success!

THE AUDITS AND ACCOUNTS SENIOR ROLE:

As an Audits and Accounts Senior, you will be responsible for supporting both partners and managers to provide high-quality audit to clients with various compliance and planning matters. Key responsibilities include:

  • Prepare and review client accounts and manage ad hoc projects and assignments
  • Complete Audit assignments at client sites or remotely and assist with technical client audit, accounts and taxation compliance work
  • Review tax or VAT-based work from clients to required standards
  • Complete paperwork for despatch to clients and HMRC and meet required deadlines
  • Communicate with clients to obtain relevant information
  • Use support networks to clarify knowledge on complex queries such as CCH or software vendors

AUDITS AND ACCOUNTS SENIOR - ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

  • ACA or ACCA-qualified and a minimum of 2 years of proven accounts experience
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent experience
  • Experience with cloud accounting software such as Xero is desirable
  • Excellent problem solving skills and ability to generate new ideas
  • Good knowledge of all taxes and ability to review client accounts, tax or VAT in a timely manner
  • Strong computer literacy skills
