Join a leading global consultancy with a rich heritage in design and engineering expertise. We are looking for a Financial Controller to oversee our UK Financial Accounting team. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about managing a team, driving financial processes, and supporting our global finance community.

Day to Day of the Role:

  • Manage a team of three accountants in the UK and support a team of nine outside the UK.
  • Oversee the preparation of the UK management accounts, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Ensure month-end reporting is completed accurately, including enrichment and continuity schedules.
  • Review UK balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Manage lease accounting entries, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Oversee monthly internal trading commitments and intercompany loans.
  • Prepare annual corporation tax packs for statutory companies.
  • Provide analysis and reports for Tax, Treasury, and Business Finance departments.
  • Liaise with auditors and conduct staff performance and development reviews.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Recognised professional accountancy qualification - this is essential, must be fully qualified. 
  • Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including Pivot tables and formulas.
  • Experience with an accounting software package, ideally Oracle.
  • Sound analytical skills and customer awareness.
  • Capable of handling large volumes of data and working to deadlines.
