Your role as a Production Operator in the Strip Mill environment will involve operating and monitoring equipment in the aluminum rolling process. Adhering to strict protocols to maintain safe working conditions.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist experienced operators in operating rolling mills and related machinery.
  • Monitor production processes according to production schedules and customer specifications and report any deviations or issues.
  • Conduct regular quality checks on finished products to maintain high quality standards.
  • Participate in routine inspections and basic maintenance tasks to ensure equipment functionality.
  • Collaborate with the team to achieve production targets and maintain product quality.
  • Adhering to strict safety protocols and maintaining a clean work area.

Requirements:

  • Prior experience in manufacturing or a similar industrial setting is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Basic understanding of machinery and manufacturing processes is advantageous.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment and communicate clearly with colleagues and supervisors.
  • Enthusiastic approach to learning new skills and growing within the company.
  • Understanding safety procedures and willingness to comply with all safety guidelines.

Working pattern:             42 hour shift pattern working days and nights which includes two 12 hour days 6am-6pm, two 12 hour nights 6pm-6am followed by four rest days.

Salary Range:                   £26,300 - £27,300 plus shift allowance
