Gleeson Recruitment Group have just been briefed on a fantastic opportunity for driven Project Management Officer to join a leading manufacturing business in the West Midlands. This role will play a pivotal part in a large scale digital transformation and will support the journey by improving the way the business delivers products and services to its customers.
At the heart of this transformation is a new data platform that brings together data from multiple business areas that will then be used for reporting and analytics as well as a source for many customer facing systems.
The Project Management Officer for Data Services will play a key role in ensuring the new data platform and reporting services are developed and delivered to the business on time and to budget.
This role would be perfect for someone who has previously acted as a project coordinator and has a career plan on moving into a Project Manager role eventually.
PRINCIPAL JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee the end-to-end delivery of data and business intelligence related projects.
- Liaise with all key stakeholders and those responsible for delivery to compile detailed project plans, budgets, and timelines, and track progress against them.
- Identify and mitigate risks, resolving technical and delivery challenges to ensure project success.
- Work closely with the Director of Transformation reporting progress on projects, managing risks and identifying interdependencies between projects.
- Manage the communications with all stakeholders.
- Coordinate project activities on behalf of the project
REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:
- Highly skilled project co-ordinator with experience working in the end-to-end delivery of data or business intelligence related projects.
- Experience of working with waterfall and agile project methodologies.
- Experience of using project management tools such as MS Project / Planner, DevOps or Jira.
- Understanding of manufacturing industry processes and ERP systems.
COMPETENCIES:
- Exceptional stakeholder management, communication and organisational skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and influence people at all levels.
- Understanding of change management processes and experience of delivering business transformation projects desirable.
- Interested in, or working towards, an accredited Project Manager and or Change Management certifications - Prince2, APM, CSM, PROSCI etc.
