Project ManagerRate: £600 to £650 per day - Inside IR35 via UmbrellaInitial 6 MonthsLocation: Hybrid/Remote working with travel to Warwickshire as requiredOur leading, Midlands based financial services client is replacing their Policy admin system, and require an accomplished and proactive, delivery focussed Project Manager for an initial 6 month contract, to join a thriving team based in Warwickshire.This role is to work on a very large and exciting transformation program of work, and the primary focus will be to lead and plan deliverables for the projects in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.This job will be working in a regulated environment and we are looking for someone with tenacity, but who is equally driven and can deliver results.Deliverables:
  • Deliverable 1: Define projects/workstreams including scope, deliverables, roles and responsibilities and ensure they are clear, agreed and communicated to all key stakeholders
  • Deliverable 2: Plan, structure, track, report on and lead project/workstream activity in line with their Change Framework to ensure that stakeholders, dependencies, cost, quality, and time are managed within agreed parameters
  • Deliverable 3: Design, establish and lead the project team/workstream ensuring the appropriate skills and behaviours are in place to enable project delivery in an efficient and cost-effective way
  • Deliverable 4: Manage third party suppliers and services in liaison with Group Procurement, Group IT, Legal and Finance departments in accordance with standards, policies and agreements as required by the project
  • Deliverable 5: Anticipate, monitor, manage and report on progress, risks, issues and dependencies in line with their Risk Policy and Change Framework to protect the project deliverables and benefits defined in the Business Case
  • Deliverable 6: Build and maintain internal and external business relationships to ensure the effective and successful delivery of project deliverables as defined in the project scope
Skills/Experience:
  • Very strong Generalist Project Manager with a good technical understanding (able to understand jargin)
  • Strong stakeholder management - need a business focused person – someone who can engage in the business
  • Financial Services/Insurance experience - ESSENTIAL
  • Knowledge of Guidewire Policy Centre (our client is implementing Guidewire Policy Centre) - desirable
  • Excellent communication skills to ensure strong and appropriate business engagement
  • Forward thinking (what could go wrong and mitigating all of those risks)
  • Strong delivery experience with a range of delivery methodologies
