On behalf of our client, an ambitious and growing educational and research institution in the West Midlands, Panoramic Associates are seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to join the Facilities Management team in early 2025.

This is a fixed-term contract of 12 months. However, for the right candidate, this could be extended to 2 years or beyond. The role will see you become a key part of the Hard FM team. My client is seeking a determined individual, with strong problem-solving skills, to come in and do a deep-dive into existing contracts, identifying areas to deliver cost savings, reduce potential risks and drive efficiencies. You will need to ensure compliance with regulations and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders.

Key responsibilities:

  • Critique and assess current contracts to identify areas for improvement, negotiating renewals and amendments to ensure beneficial terms, maintaining accurate records.
  • Assist with the development of a new CAFM tender.
  • Monitor service providers' performance based on agreed-upon terms or KPI's.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders to ensure contracts meet the needs and objectives of the organisation.
  • Introduce strategies that promote the continuous improvement of the hard FM team's contract management processes.
  • Ensure compliance to legislation, regulations and policies in new and existing contracts.

Essential Criteria:

  • Experience within Contract Management in the public sector
  • Experience developing and implementing new tenders
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret and assess complex contractual documentation
  • Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations in the public sector

Desirable Criteria:

  • Experience within Hard Facilities Management in a public sector environment (NHS, Further or Higher Education, local government)
  • Knowledge, or experience, of Contract management software, particularly in the FM category.
  • Professional certification in contract management (e.g. CFCM, CPCM)
