Our client, a Local Authority in the Midlands is seeking a Wellbeing Operations Manager to manage and develop the Council’s Wellbeing Centres and Hubs with a particular focus on setting and achieving operational standards and performance.Wellbeing Operations Manager

Start: ASAPRate: £300 - £400 per day - Negotiable depending on experience (Inside IR35)Duration: 3 -6 Months Initially possible extensionHybrid working – occasional site visits required  Main duties:

  • To lead the operational management of the Council’s Wellbeing Centres and Hubs driving continuous service delivery and performance improvement towards a “best in class” standard
  • To effectively manage staff reporting direct to the post holder including maintaining regular performance discussions and annual performance appraisals
  • To develop an organisational culture focused on achieving excellence in customer service including developing and managing mechanisms to gather and respond to feedback
  • To manage the inhouse Technical Services Team to ensure all Wellbeing facilities are maintained to an acceptable standard, and that the programme of statutory testing and other required inspections are undertaken and actioned as necessary
  • To support the delivery of the Be Active programme in liaison with the Wellbeing Programme Manager

Requirements:

  • Must have Operational/Centre experience
  • Previous Local government experience is ideal
  • Substantial experience of operational facility management in the leisure industry
  • Experience of successfully leading and developing staff teams
