Key Responsibilities:

  • Machine Operation: Set up, calibrate, and operate laser cutting, engraving, or marking machines in line with production schedules and job specifications.
  • Programming: Use CAD/CAM software to program machines based on design blueprints or customer requirements.
  • Material Handling: Load, secure, and align materials on the machine bed, ensuring proper positioning for accurate cuts or engravings.
  • Quality Control: Monitor the laser process and inspect finished products for accuracy, ensuring they meet required standards and tolerances.
  • Maintenance: Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of the laser equipment to ensure optimal performance and avoid downtime.
  • Safety Compliance: Follow all company safety protocols and procedures when operating machinery, and use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
  • Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve any technical issues with the laser machines, reporting problems to the supervisor if necessary.
  • Documentation: Keep accurate records of production runs, machine settings, and material usage for quality control and reporting purposes.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Previous experience operating laser cutting machine. (Ideally Triumph)
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with CNC or laser cutting software
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to work with precise measurements and meet tight tolerances.
  • Physical Stamina: Able to stand for extended periods and handle physical tasks such as lifting and positioning materials.
  • Problem-Solving: Capable of identifying and resolving operational or mechanical issues in a timely manner.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, or CAD files.
  • Safety-Oriented: Strong understanding of health and safety regulations in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
