SEND Education Placements Broker

Hours: Part-time – 21 hours approx, across 3 days

Location: West Midlands

Rate: Negotiable hourly rates (Inside IR35)

Our client is looking for someone to join their dynamic Children’s Commissioning Team and play a vital role in securing specialist education placements for children and young people with SEND. You’ll broker and negotiate educational placements, ensuring they meet quality standards, align with the SEND Code of Practice, and provide value for money.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Broker specialist education placements for children with EHCPs
  • Collaborate with educational providers, social care, and commissioning teams
  • Negotiate placement costs and monitor provider quality and performance
  • Provide guidance on placement options and contract disputes
  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to market intelligence

Requirements:

  • Experience in commissioning, negotiation, or SEND provision
  • Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with stakeholders
  • Attention to detail for managing records and contracts
  • Knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice and relevant regulations
  • The ability to work under tight timescales to achieve the best outcomes for children and young people
