Environmental Health Officer - Protection

Start date: October 2024

Rate: £45 per hour, umbrella Inside IR35

Working hours: Full time, 37 hours

Location: Midlands

Working pattern: Hybrid - 2/3 days in the office

Duration of assignment: Until end of March 2025 initally (likely extension)

Our client is looking for an Environmental Health Officer on a hybrid basis, until at least the end of March 2025 (high likelihood of this being extended).

Responsibilities:

  • Support planning consultations
  • Investigate statutory nuisance complaints and pollution-related anti-social behaviour
  • Advise planning and licensing teams
  • Conduct inspections, investigate complaints, and take appropriate actions
  • Prepare reports and participate in council meetings
  • Qualifications: Relevant degree in Environmental Health or related field preferred
  • Experience: Experience in a similar role, ideally in local government or regulatory environment / Desired: Caravans and mobile homes experience
  • Organisational Skills: Strong time management and ability to manage varied workload
