The Role:

Reporting to the Managing Director and leading a dedicated team, responsible for all financial aspects of the business, driving the financial strategy and planning, ensuring the company's financial health and stability, supporting sustainable growth and profitability, whilst playing a crucial role in structuring the business for sale and supporting the sales process

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Proven experience as a Finance Director or similar role in a precision engineering or manufacturing environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of corporate finance, accounting principles, and financial regulations.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
  • Proficiency in financial management software and MS Office.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Professional qualifications such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent.
  • Experience in financial modelling and forecasting.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in managing financial operations in an engineering company, ideally high-volume machined components, experience of supplying distributors is advantageous but not essential
  • Knowledge of industry-specific financial challenges and opportunities.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Experience with ERP systems and financial software implementation.
  • Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
