About the Role

Robert Half is proud to be working with a leading PLC in Derbyshire. We are seeking a proactive and inquisitive Systems Analyst to join our team in Ashby de la Zouch. This is a hands-on systems improvement role, requiring a self-motivated individual with the ability to business partner across the organisation. You will play a crucial role in enhancing business reporting, improving the speed and accuracy of Management Information (MI), and optimising systems to support business growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Investigate and improve existing systems, ensuring they meet the evolving needs of the business.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders, including the Head of FP&A and Group Finance Director, to enhance financial and operational reporting.
  • Develop and implement more efficient MI reporting to support decision-making processes.
  • Act as a key business partner to finance and operational teams, ensuring systems drive business efficiency.
  • Work closely with an outsourced technical provider, leveraging their support while also having the capability to independently troubleshoot and improve systems.
  • Support both site-level and group-level accounting functions, optimising system processes to enhance reporting accuracy and efficiency.

Key Requirements

  • A "can-do" attitude and an inquisitive mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Proven experience in systems improvement and business reporting.
  • Ability to interpret financial data and translate business requirements into system enhancements.
  • Hands-on experience in investigating, optimising, and improving business systems.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to partner effectively with finance and operational teams.
  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) desirable, with experience in both site and group accounting preferred.
  • Exposure to financial and operational reporting systems, with the ability to drive continuous improvement.
  • Ideally you will have experience of Hyperion
