Acoustic Consultant

My client specialises in providing acoustic consultancy services tailored to every stage of a construction project, meticulously adhering to the guidelines set forth by the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA). Their comprehensive services encompass strategy reviews, in-depth appraisals of architectural drawings, expert design advice, thorough noise assessments for planning, and rigorous UKAS-accredited sound insulation testing. They excel in creating effective solutions for a diverse range of infrastructure projects, including those related to rail and highway networks, as well as for towering structures such as buildings, masts, and towers.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor of Science degree in Acoustics or a related field, along with the IOA Diploma
  • A proven ability to promptly address any technical issues that may arise during assessments
  • A track record of successfully delivering projects while working closely with key stakeholders throughout the development life cycle
  • Accreditation in AMIOA/MIOA status, demonstrating expertise in acoustics
  • Previous experience in project planning and report preparation for project applications

Responsibilities:

  • Conducting regular noise and vibration inspections to ensure compliance with British standards and building regulations at all stages of a project's life cycle
  • Providing clients with expert guidance and remedial advice to prevent technical issues that could impact project completion and timelines
  • Tailoring project plans and designs to ensure strict adherence to client specifications and statutory guidance
