We are currently seeking an experienced Health & Safety Administrator to join a national manufacturing company on an ongoing temporary basis. This role is crucial for assisting in the implementation and administration of health and safety, environmental policies, procedures, and programs to ensure compliance with regulations. The successful candidate will support the Health & Safety and Environmental (H&SE) department in maintaining a safe working environment and reducing workplace accidents and injuries.
Day-to-day of the role:- Assist in the implementation and maintenance of health and safety policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of workplace inspections, audits, facilities reports, and risk assessments.
- Monitor and track compliance with safety regulations and internal procedures.
- Help organise and coordinate HSE programs.
- Conduct regular health and safety inspections of the workplace and identify potential hazards.
- Support the Health & Safety team in preparing reports, presentations, and communication materials.
- Assist in the management of first aid equipment, ensuring availability and functionality.
- An understanding of health and safety regulations and best practices.
- Experience in health and safety administration or a related role is preferred.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office and other office software.
- Ability to communicate effectively with staff at all levels.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- NEBOSH or other relevant health and safety qualification (desirable but not essential).
