HR Advisor - West Midlands (on-site) - Education sector - up to £37,000Morgan Hunt is recruiting for a generalist HR Advisor to join a college based in the West Midlands. The HR Advisor, will provide comprehensive HR and ER support across the organisation, acting as the trusted HR partner and first line of assistance for all employee relations matters, including investigations, disciplinary actions, grievances, and absence management.Your key responsibilities will include:-

  • Acting as an influential business partner, guiding managers and staff on the effective use of HR policies and procedures.
  • Supporting payroll processes by managing starters, leavers, and contract amendments, ensuring accurate record-keeping.
  • Assisting in organizing and authorizing staff training, ensuring compliance with internal procedures.
  • Managing and supporting employee sickness, including occupational health referrals and absence management plans.
  • Providing advice on family-friendly leave, including maternity, paternity, and shared parental leave.
  • Producing and reporting on HR metrics, such as sickness absence, equality data, and headcount reporting.
  • Handling HR casework, including grievances, disciplinary actions, and performance management.
  • Maintaining up-to-date HR systems and employee records, ensuring legal compliance.

You should be an experienced HR Generalist with a strong understanding of employment law and HR best practice. Experience of providing effective advice and guidance to mangers needs to be combined with excellent interpersonal and organisational skills. You need to be able to work across multiple sites. A valid driving licence is essential.
