The Role and Company:

My client, a small but well known financial services business is looking for a driven Project Manager to join their IT and Change team on a fixed term contract for 12 months initially.

As a Project Manager, you will primarily be working on a new system implementation project, leading all planning, control and delivery of this specific project. There will also be a requirement to support additional smaller project delivery and BAU during downtime.

The specific project you will be managing will be using Prince 2 methodology however, the software delivery phase will be delivered by the supplier in sprints using an Agile approach so both Prince 2 and Agile experience is preferred.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead project delivery through the whole lifecycle
  • Manage the project budget
  • Lead the assessment, reporting and control of project risks
  • Provide regular and on-demand reporting on project plans, progress, risks and issues
  • Work with internal teams and third parties to deliver change efforts, including monitoring of delivery quality
  • Run procurement exercises for new or replacement services

Experience required:

  • Proven Project Management within IT / Systems Change with experience in both Prince 2 and Agile delivery methodologies
  • The ability to build professional relationships up to C level, lead people across the organisation and influence without authority
  • The ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment and meet deadlines
  • Any Financial Services or regulated industry experience is preferred but not essential
