Salary: 40,000 - 48,000, 5% Shift allowance

We're a leading player in advanced automotive manufacturing, and we're looking for a talented Metrology Engineer to join and play a key role in ensuring the successful delivery of engineering projects. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious engineer looking to make a real impact within a growing and collaborative team.
What We Do
- Specialise in complex aluminium and iron sand casting for automotive, motorsport, and aerospace sectors
- Develop advanced manufacturing solutions using state-of-the-art technologies
- Focus on lightweight, high-integrity casting techniques that support green energy and electrification
Key Responsibilities
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives and encourage team members to participate in improvement programmes.
- Identify areas for improvement in production processes and implement changes to enhance efficiency and quality.
- Lead and coach a team of production partners, providing guidance and training in all aspects of production including maintaining and updating skills matrix.
- Ensure that all products meet company and Customer quality standards.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for any process-related issues.
- Maintain safety standards within work area including visual inspections for correct use of PPE.
What We're Looking for
- Manufacturing experience and/or within a lead role
- Proven experience in managing a team
- Effective time Management and prioritisation skills
- Basic competence in Microsoft Tools including Outlook and Excel
- Ability to actively demonstrate company values and communicate effectively at all levels of the business.
- Ability to positively influence and build strong relationships across all organisational levels.
- Strong problem-solving skills and demonstrated ability to mitigate risk to production and/or supply
- Holds Managing Safely IOSH Level 1 certificate
- Manual Handling and Crane trainer
- Basic First Aid and Fire Marshall trained
