We are delighted to be partnering with a leading healthcare organisation, with a strong focus on public sector partnerships, as they look to add within their legal team. Reporting directly into the Head of Legal, the Legal Counsel will support their public procurement activities and a wide range of commercial legal matters.

Role Overview:

As a Legal Counsel, you will play a key role in advising on public procurement law and commercial contracts, ensuring compliance with regulatory frameworks while supporting the business in achieving it's objectives. This role role will see you balancing the demands of public procurement law with a wider remit that includes negotiating and drafting commercial contracts, managing legal risks, and providing general legal advice to various departments within the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial agreements, which could include technology, supplier agreements and more.
  • Advising on wider commercial law matters to include data protection, GDPR, and governance.
  • Assist with risk management.
  • Providing legal training and support to internal stakeholders.

Key Requirements:

  • Qualified Solicitor from NQ +
  • An understanding of public procurement regulations and processes.
  • Experience in drafting and negotiating a variety of commercial contracts.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a diverse workload with competing priorities.
  • Strong commercial acumen.
