Description
- Lead and manage the freight forwarding department
- Develop and implement strategic plans for the transport & distribution department
- Coordinate and oversee freight forwarding strategy
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations
- Foster a positive, productive workplace environment
- Continually improve processes to enhance service delivery and commercial skills
- Collaborate with other departments to achieve company goals
- Manage and monitor departmental budget
Profile
A successful Freight Forwarding Director/BU Director should have:
- Proven experience in a commercial leadership role within a freight business
- Excellent knowledge of freight forwarding and logistics operations/business development
- Strong strategic planning and implementation abilities
- Outstanding communication, interpersonal and leadership skills
