Recruit4staff is seeking a Maintenance Engineer for a leading manufacturing business in Bridgnorth, offering a starting salary ranging from £28,704 to £37,913.20 plus a 25% shift allowance, totaling up to £47,391.50.
The position is permanent, requiring 46 hours of work per week on a 4-shift schedule, with three-day weekends every week.
Candidates must have previous experience in a similar role, with knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, and the ability to read mechanical and electrical diagrams.
Key responsibilities include investigating equipment failures, participating in engineering reviews, and focusing on continuous improvement and health & safety.
The ideal candidate will be multi-skilled, with a preference for those experienced in PLCs and fabrication/welding.

Starting salary range will depend on experience - £28,704 + 25% SA = £35,880 / £37,913.20 + 25% SA = £47,391.50
4 shifts per week, 3 day weekend every week! 6pm - 6am Monday to Thursday - 46 hours per week

The role – Maintenance Engineer:

Investigate all equipment failures, recommend and implement improvements
Participate in regular reviews with the Engineering & Manufacturing team
Carrying out Plant/Equipment installation in line with Planned Preventative Maintenance
Providing minimal downtime to Production
Installing & setting up new areas within Production as required
Attending Maintenance meetings
Focusing on Continuous Improvement
Maintaining a high level of Health & Safety
Working in team situations to resolve any issues
Carrying out Mechanical & Electrical tasks

What our client is looking for in a Maintenance Engineer:

Previous experience within a similar role - ESSENTIAL
Knowledge of Pneumatics / Hydraulics
Able to read Mechanical & Electrical diagrams
Experienced in Planned Preventative Maintenance
Fabrication / Welding skills
PLC experience - PREFERRED
Our client is looking for candidates who are Multi Skilled, ideally (60/40) Mechanical/Electrical
