Job Overview

We have an opportunity for a Band 5 Occupational Therapist to work within physical health teams in the Midlands. We are looking for professionals with strong communication and problem-solving skills, a positive attitude to multidisciplinary teamwork, and a commitment to person-centred care.

The rotation includes:

  • 9 months on sub-acute physical health rehabilitation wards at the Evington Centre.

  • 9 months with the Home First and Community Therapy Service.

  • Future plans to expand the rotation to other areas.

Role Responsibilities
  • Gain clinical experience in physical and community settings.

  • Support patient discharge and system flow in inpatient settings.

  • Use occupational therapy skills to improve patient outcomes.

  • Work as part of a multidisciplinary team in a supportive and welcoming environment.

  • Provide professional OT services in the community under senior staff supervision.

  • Deliver OT services within diverse settings, requiring flexibility and adaptability.

Requirements
  • Strong clinical skills in assessing and treating a range of conditions.

  • Ability to develop and implement effective rehabilitation and discharge plans.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

  • Experience with community-based pathways is advantageous.
