Interim Governance Manager

Multi Academy Trust - Supporting Schools Across the Trust

Contract: Immediate Start, 4-Month Duration (with a view to extend to 6)

Day Rate: Competitive

A dynamic Multi Academy Trust is seeking an Interim Governance Manager to ensure outstanding standards of governance and compliance across their schools during a crucial period of growth and change.

This role will be remote based with on site requirement 1-2 days per week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert governance and compliance advice to the Trust and its academies.
  • Support school leaders and Trustees in fulfilling statutory obligations and upholding best practices in governance.
  • Ensure effective systems and processes are in place for governance reporting, risk management, and accountability.
  • Deliver high-quality training and guidance to governance teams and local governing bodies.
  • Work collaboratively with school and Trust leaders to promote an ethos of transparency and compliance.

What We're Looking For:

  • Proven experience in governance, ideally within education or public sector settings.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks, compliance, and statutory requirements.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • A track record of working with Boards, Trustees, or leadership teams to achieve strategic outcomes.
